Reviews for Marvins Market AdventureHey Gwyn? Yep? Where are you going all wrapped up cosy and warm on a cold winter's day, with a big smile on your face? Down this path... What's down that path Gwyn? How I make a difference to children is right down that path... its my year ahead.... its open... its ready to embrace... By the way Gwyn...what is on your path ahead? Well funny you should ask that as that is something I really wanted to share.... Starting with today... I am making a new version of Princess Peggy as her neck is collapsing (laugh icon). I need that as this week I start the following: SPARKLY EDUCATORS PREP CAMP to support the SPARKLY BOX OF STORIES STORY TIME SHOW This virtual conference is currently running and 32 USA Sparkly Educators are participating in a 5 session fun interactive, practical, colourful conference, from which they are going to be writing fantastic accessible stories to share at a showcase event late January! SPARKLY STORY PARENT CHAMPIONS: Have just finished their course and are now having fun creating their accessible stories for a showcase event later in January! SPARKLY BOX OF STORIES STORY TIME SHOWS Starting in the new year! Sparkly Box of Stories Story Time Show - Midwest States of America Sparkly Box of Stories Story Time Show - South East States of America Moorvision Story Time Show - United Kingdom POSITIVE LOOKING TRAIN THE TRAINER AND POSITIVE LOOKING PRACTITIONER COURSE PILOTS Two cohorts of teacher of VI are participating in this exciting development. There are 18 teachers of VI/MSI in the UK taking part. They are half way through and they will finish their course by Easter ready to pilot the Positive Looking Practitioner course with their schools during the summer and autumn terms. Second cohort of teachers of VI in the USA start their pilot in the new year. POSITIVE LOOKING FOR PARENTS The pilot of this exciting course is coming to a close soon. We have two more sessions on implementing the approaches within stories and then the parents are writing their own stories to share during a session in February. I will be running a second group starting March once I have taken feedback from the group of fantastic parents who are participating at the moment. STEP-BACK - A WHOLE SCHOOL APPROACH TO INDEPENDENT LEARNERS (Wales - to support the implementation of the new Additional Learning Needs Act) New cohort of Step-back trainers start their course in early February. Step-back is a culture change in the way we think about support being provided and how we include all children Step-back Mentor Pilot course is underway for parents, professionals who support families. Then plenty of resource ideas, more online opportunities to attend training on numeracy, literacy, Positive Looking, social and emotional well being and other developments that currently are in my head as exciting ideas waiting to happen!
