Course Overview

Next course starts on 16th November 2026

Book Your Place on the Course

The Positive Looking 2 Visual Perception Skills Course builds on the award-winning and internationally used Positive Looking framework. It is designed for professionals who want to develop a deeper understanding of visual perception and how perceptual skills impact learning, participation and independence.

Visual perception enables us to make sense of what we see. It allows us to recognise objects, interpret symbols, understand patterns, identify differences and locate information within our environment. These skills play a vital role in literacy, numeracy, communication and everyday learning.

The course provides practical strategies, observation points and low-cost activities that help practitioners support the development of visual perception skills in children and young people with vision impairment, cerebral visual impairment (CVI), SEND and complex learning needs.
